Higher Horizons Early Head Start is seeking Infant-Toddler Teachers to join our organization! The individual will plan and present age appropriate activities for children. SIGN-ON BONUS! Responsibilities: * Implement an established curriculum, develop lesson plans, and conduct child observations. * Maintain a safe, inviting learning environment for children from 6 weeks to 2.9 years old. * Provides quality care and supervision for a class of 8 infants and toddlers, along with a Co-Teacher * Incorporate age appropriate activities to meet individual needs * Communicate with parents on child's growth and progress Qualifications: * BA or AA in Early Childhood Education or related field, or valid Infant/Toddler CDA Credential required * At least one year of experience working with infants and toddlers in a classroom setting * Knowledge of Head Start Program Performance Standards a plus * Ability to build rapport with children * Positive and patient demeanor * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Bilingual a plus (Spanish, Amharic, Arabic and other languages Company Description Higher Horizons is a private, non-profit organization established in 1962.
