Job Description
The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) has implemented an Integrated Program Office (IPO) framework to enhance mission success. The Foundation GEOINT IPO (IPF) is one of four IPOs. Mission success is critically dependent on information sharing and the ability to manage, discover, retrieve, and access information across organizational, program and interagency boundaries.
Examples of work tasks include:
- Assist the IPF Engineering Management staff and Program Managers as a subject matter expert on system transition & integration.
- Manage the overall IPF system transition process across the compendium of IPF Foundation GEOINT-related programs, project, pilots and initiatives.
- Manage/Plan system transitions between IPF and other organizations such as Research and NGA/SF.
- Coordinate system capability development between IPF and other organizations to ensure alignment of planning and prevent duplication of capabilities.
- Coordinate with external entities to ensure IPF system transitions are supported at the larger mission / enterprise level.
- Maintain awareness of external system transitions, and evaluate the impacts thereof to IPF systems.
- Assist IPF Program Managers on individual program transitions as directed by the IPF Engineering Management staff.
- Manage the overall IPF system integration process across the compendium of IPF Foundation GEOINT-related programs, projects, pilots and initiatives.
- Produce and manage such integration-related artifacts and specifications as required by the IPF Engineering Management staff.
- Identify and recommend new technology insertion to improve IPF mission satisfaction and performance.
- Assist PMs with onboarding new vendors, transitioning efforts from an incumbent to a new vendor, and closing out an effort.
- Produce and manage the IPF Integrated Master Schedule
- Maintain and update the current status of individual IPF system transitions
- Advise on the integration specifications of the IPF System Architecture views
- Produce transition-related inputs to the IPF Requirements Baseline
- Produce and manage the IPF System Dependency Matrix, documenting IPF system integration points
- Synchronize and manage the cadence of development across multiple IPF system developments
- Act as the overall IPF System Outage coordinator, and assess the potential impacts of proposed discrete events across the entirety of IPF programs to missions and operations.
- Lead IPF coordination and production of multi-program Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Identify areas for IPF growth and create strategic Product roadmaps to help drive the adoption of products, resolve potential gaps, drive cross-cutting integration and manage costs.
