Job Description

Highlight Technologies’ IT team is looking for a hardworking, customer service focused IT Intern to help provide support to on-site and remote users in our dynamic, fast-past corporate office. This individual will gain experience working in a corporate IT department, participate in various projects, and help keep our systems running smoothly!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide IT Support to on-site and remote employees and carry out complex problem-solving.
• Troubleshoot & resolve software/hardware issues for laptops, peripherals, A/V equipment, etc.
• Image and configure Windows 10 laptops, prepare workstations for users.
• Perform user account management activities such as onboarding and offboarding.
• Assist with monitoring and ensuring security of systems.
• Research issues and new products.
• Assist with maintaining and servicing cloud-based IT infrastructures.
• Assist with testing and configuring new technologies.
• Participate in process improvement and compliance activities.

Qualifications

• Positive, customer-service focused attitude.
• Related work experience or relevant coursework.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Windows 10 OS and Office 365 Administration preferred.
• Knowledge of IT concepts expected, but system-specific training is generally provided OTJ.
• Availability to work 15-20 hrs/wk.

Additional Information

Scheduling is flexible around class times (Highlight is 10-15 mins from GMU Fairfax Campus). This is an hourly paid position.
