    Job Description

    • Assist the IPF Engineering Management staff and Program Managers as the IPF technical liaison to the enterprise infrastructure operations entities.
    • Assist the IPF Engineering Management staff and Program Managers as a subject matter expert on infrastructure issues.
    • Manage and coordinate IPF and SF-originating infrastructure support requests.
    • Review and assess externally-originating infrastructure proposals for impacts to IPF and SF systems and missions.
    • Identify and recommend the best infrastructure solution approaches and/or new technology insertion to improve IPF and SF mission satisfaction and performance.
    • Manage, track, status and coordinate IPF-originating Requests for Change (RFCs), Incident Reports (IRQs) and Change Requests (CRQs).
    • Act as the IPF Tier II support for RFC / IRQ / CRQ / Remedy Trouble Tickets that continue as endemic or unresolvable issues.  Coordinate and assist the affected IPF program development team(s) to find a path to resolution.
    • Coordinate and obtain IPF support needs from the various Information Technology Enterprise Managed Services (ITEMS) programs.
    • Coordinate and obtain IPF support needs from external mission and supporting development partner agencies / entities.
    • Advise the IPF Enterprise Management staff and Program Managers on ways to improve application performance, provisioning and efficiency via improved infrastructure selection, configuration, deployment and/or management.
    • Advise the IPF Enterprise Management staff and Program Managers on ways to optimize infrastructure usage to reduce costs, improve reliability, improve availability, and ensure continuity of operations.
    • Act as the IPF coordination lead with the NGA Cloud Program Office to obtain new services and capabilities, and to resolve issues with existing ones.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • TS/SCI Level Clearance
    • Strong managerial and technical experience base in the following:
      • Provisioning and hosting technologies spanning all infrastructure layers, with particular emphasis on Amazon Web Services (AWS) services and solutions.
      • Incident tracking, managing and resolution processes.
      • Particular operational challenges faced by disadvantaged / disconnected / intermittently connected users.
      • Obtaining, managing and orchestrating infrastructure services and capabilities from multiple, potentially geographically separated providers into a system infrastructure solution.
