    THE OPPORTUNITY

    A leading innovator in designing and manufacturing premium backpacks, camera bags, and accessories is seeking a dynamic Director of Global Wholesale. This pivotal role aims to spearhead efforts to expand the business's active lifestyle and camera segments in the US wholesale market and globally. The Director of Global Wholesale will be crucial in crafting strategies and executing plans to penetrate and expand the worldwide market presence.

    LOCATION

    Flexible with frequent travel to Salt Lake City

    Reports To: President & Director of Product

    Responsibilities

    • Strategy Development and Execution: Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to develop and implement aggressive strategies driving domestic/global expansion and profitable growth within camera bags and active lifestyle markets.
    • Team Leadership and Development: Act as a "player-coach" to a young, vibrant team, providing guidance, mentorship, and leadership to nurture and expand the team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and relentless pursuit of success.
    • Market Expansion: Identify, evaluate, and capitalize on opportunities to grow the company's presence in new and existing markets, overseeing the management and development of sales channels, distribution networks, and strategic partnerships.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a vital link between sales and marketing departments, ensuring alignment in strategies and execution to achieve business objectives.
    • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and customers across all business platforms, ensuring effective communication and understanding of the company's value proposition.

     

    Ideal Candidate Profile

     

    • Proven experience in leading wholesale initiatives, preferably within the outdoor, photo, luxury, or active lifestyle categories.
    • A strategic thinker with a track record of developing and executing growth strategies in international markets and or US wholesale.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to act as a mentor and coach to a developing team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining strong relationships across different cultures and business environments.
    • An ownership mentality with a hands-on approach to tackling challenges and seizing opportunities.
    • Passionate about the active lifestyle and photography markets, with an understanding of the needs and trends within these segments.
