Jennie Stuart Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant / Medical Assistant Float to support our Provider Based Clinic offices. This position provides patient care in an office setting under the supervision of a medical provider and supports daily clinical and administrative operations across multiple locations.
Job Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and visitors
- Answer calls, take messages, and document appropriately in the medical record
- Maintain and update patient medical records
- Schedule appointments and assist with patient flow
- Process provider orders, refill requests, referrals, and other clinical requests
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical supplies
- Administer medications, collect lab samples, and perform wound care within scope of practice
- Provide patient education as directed by the provider
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license required
- High school diploma required
- Previous experience in a medical practice required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Must be willing to travel among Jennie Stuart Health Provider Based Clinic offices
- Medical assistant program completion preferred
- CMA or RMA certification preferred
