    POSITION TITLE: President

    REPORTS TO: H2 Board of Directors

    FUNCTIONAL AREA: Executive

    PRINCIPAL ROLE:

    The President role sets and drives the strategy for Highway Two as a company. This role is responsible not only for the day to day but also for setting the course for the next five years to attain the growth ambitions of the joint venture owners.  

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    ADMINISTRATIVE

    The President will build and set the organizational structure of the company. This role will be responsible for setting into place and maintaining all divisional management leads and monitoring expectations and KPI's. The President will be the final signer on all legal documents, leases, termination documents, bank accounts, software agreements, and any other legal documents.

    CULTURE AND EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT

    Maintaining the unique and sales-driven culture of H2 is extremely important and will be a huge part of this role. This will require working with all of the department managers to ensure there is a consistent message to all associates.

    SALES MANAGEMENT

    Driving and pushing sales to attain annual budgets is paramount in this role. Annual targets will be made with Joint Venture Partners and are expected to be attained. Category targets within each brand will also be assigned. The President will be responsible for providing leadership to the North American Sales Director and collaborating on the creation and continued management of H2's Sales Structure. This will entail: Forecasting, Product Selection, Sales Promotion Calendar, Catalog Creation, Territory Changes, Inside Sales Management, Sales Sample Management, Commission Structuring, Key Account Management, Distributor Management, and other sales management functions.

    HUMAN RESOURCES

    The President will work with the HR manager to ensure an annual review process goes to plan. This role will review all compensation increases with the divisional management teams and ensure they are in line with the annual budget. Risk assessment will also be conducted to ensure H2 is in compliance with all applicable employee rules and regulations (State/Federal).

    SUPPLY CHAIN

    Inventory planning and logistics is an integral part of this role as almost all of H2's products are imported. The process must be continually monitored with the Director of Operations to ensure H2 is operating as efficiently as possible. The expected inventory turns must be delivered to increase profitability and cash flow.

    WAREHOUSE AND OPERATIONS

    Working with the Director of Operations, it is imperative this role is highly involved with the processes and workflow in the warehouses. Quarterly visits to the warehouses are an expectation as this will mitigate unresolved issues and keep the processes running smoothly. All process changes must be reviewed and approved by President.

    STRATEGIC PLANNING

    Build and present a 5-year strategic plan for approval from the Board of Directors. After approval and feedback, this role will begin implementation and oversee progress based on timelines presented.

    FINANCE/ACCOUNTING

    Continually manage budget KPI's. Manage and oversee 3rd party profitability. Identify areas of opportunity for YOY cost reduction. Continuously review areas of need or improvement in collections, credit approvals, established terms and guidelines and vendor agreements. Monitor and closely track P&L Statements as well as H2 Working Capital.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s Degree. MBA preferred
    • 10 years’ experience in Sales & Marketing in the sports and leisure industry
    • 5 years’ exposure to logistics and financial management

    • 10 years of managing 20+ people
    • International experience: Has ideally worked and/or lived abroad / in another country and has demonstrated intercultural sensitivity and inclusive behavior

    ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Up to 50% travel
    • Must reside or be willing to relocate to Southern California
    • SAP B1 experience highly desirable
