Job Description

** This is a seasonal position with an expected start date in mid-April.**

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a responsible, motivated, and proficient Highway and Bridge Maintenance Laborer with good ethics and a great attitude. This person will be responsible for performing highway maintenance labor work; to include traffic control set-ups, bridge maintenance/cleaning, and tree brush removal.

** MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:**

OPERATIONS:

• Perform diverse types of highway maintenance work, including bridge cleaning, maintenance, tree cutting, and vegetation removal.
• Conducts equipment for pre- and post-trips.
• Set-up and tear down daily temporary traffic control.
• Ensures all work is conducted in compliance with strict safety guidelines.
• Drives company vehicles.
• Uses all equipment and tools safely.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.

EXPERIENCE:

• 18+ years of age.
• Valid drivers license with 5 years clean MVR.
• ATSSA Traffic Control Certified (company provided, if not currently certified).
• Ability to lift 50-60 pounds.
• Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and overtime, as needed.
• Ability to drive box truck or equivalent.
• Capable and comfortable working from various heights.
• ABILITY TO TRAVEL AWAY FROM HOME FOR UP TO 1-2 WEEKS AT A TIME IN DE, NJ, NY, PA, AND VA (hotel expenses paid by the Company).

Compensation range: $18-20 hourly depending on experience.
