KACE SOLUTION ARCHITECT/ADMINISTRATOR
We are seeking a KACE Solution Architect/Administrator for a 4-month assignment working remotely from anywhere in Texas performing advanced computer systems work in the Enterprise Management Support Team of the Information Systems Division of our Austin, Texas client. Work involves installation, configuration, and implementation of the KACE on-premises software application. Work is performed under the general direction of the Enterprise Management Support Team.
Functional responsibilities:
Design and Architect Quest KACE to support the functions of the Information Systems division
Design and execute the testing, installation, and configuration of the KACE application, including back-end virtual systems in compliance with ERS standards and guidelines
Contribute technical expertise and process guidance on leveraging KACE to improve the process
Provide expertise in the creation, maintenance, and updates for MDT and PowerShell scripts and for updates/patches for the desktop environment with Quest KACE K1000 using PowerShell scripts
Research, diagnose, and resolve problems with network connectivity
Perform updates to application infrastructure
Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting
Create documentation for management and maintenance procedures for the KACE server
Provide training and mentoring to ERS staff members for ongoing support and maintenance
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide training, develop the documentation, participate in transition activities, and facilitate integration with adjacent tool sets
Performs other duties as assigned

Yrs Skills/Experience
4 - 5 KACE system architecture, installation, configuration, and implementation
Strong understanding of database concepts (Oracle, generic SQL, relational modeling/DB design)
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; Experience working with Windows, Unix/Linux-based, and Oracle platforms; Experience with general-purpose programming languages (Java, J2E, etc)
Knowledge of installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows 2012 and 2016 servers including both core and GUI versions of Windows 2012 & 2016.
Preferred:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in data processing, computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, or a related field. Each year of related experience may be substituted for one year (30 semester hours) of required college credit.
