We are a Central Florida law firm that has been in business for over 35 years. We assist clients with Veterans’ Disability Benefits claims.

JOB DESCRIPTION: This position in the VA section of our law firm, is critical in assisting the attorneys directly with writing arguments, preparing files for doctors to review and reviewing client files to provide historical timelines of events. Professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality in regard to sensitive information are all requirements. This position also requires that an individual is apt to identifying deadlines and reacting accordingly to necessary workload adjustments to ensure that files are handled properly and in a timely manner.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Strong analytical ability

• Ability to work independently

• Average to above average computer skills

• College Degree preferred, or comparable work history in the legal or medical field

• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

EXPERIENCE IN THE LEGAL OR MEDICAL FIELD IS PREFERRED.

Individuals who have experience in any of the following areas have proven successful: legal field, medical field, social services, professional writing, claims/case management. In addition, individuals who demonstrate a passion for helping others and a drive for lifelong learning are strong candidates for this role.

JOB LOCATION:

THIS JOB IS REMOTE, WITH MAIN OFFICE LOCATED IN ORLANDO, FL.  WE ARE CURRENTLY ONLY HIRING FROM FLORIDA, GEORGIA, AND TEXAS.

COVID-19 VACCINATION AND PROOF OF THE SAME REQUIRED, UNLESS EXEMPT DUE TO A MEDICAL OR RELIGIOUS REASON.

Starting salary based on experience and level of expertise: $38,000-$42,000 a year.

BENEFITS AFTER 90 DAY PROBATIONARY PERIOD:

• 85% of individual employee premiums paid for health insurance
• 85% of individual employee premiums paid for dental insurance
• 60% of total premium paid on family plan for both medical and dental insurance, for spouse and children
• 50% of individual employee premium for vision insurance
• 50% of long term disability insurance premium paid
• $50,000 free life insurance policy
• 401k plan - we will match any full-time employee's deposits up to 3% of their base salary and bonuses

PAID TIME OFF:

Years of Service: PTO: 90 Days up to one year - Up to 37.50 Hours One to three years - 112.50 Hours Four to nine years - 150.00 Hours 10 years or more - 187.50 Hours Plus 9 Paid Holidays

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Associate Degree or above, or comparable work history in the legal or medical field.
