    A law firm located in Winter Park is seeking a Litigation Assistant to work in the firm’s Commercial and Real Estate Litigation Department. We are looking for someone with litigation experience for a very busy practice. Scheduling, e-filing, teamwork, organization are all important. The firm has great benefits and generous PTO.

    Job Responsibilities and Skills –

    • Open and manage case files, storing both electronic and hard copy documents.
    • E-file documents in State and Federal court.
    • Maintain calendar and deadline reminder systems.
    • Draft and review correspondence and other legal documents in a grammatically correct manner.
    • Work independently with little supervision.
    • Create, organize, and manage pleadings, attorney trial notebooks, and document indexes.
    • Work seamlessly with internal departments at the firm, including the billing team for time entry.
    • Other general litigation assistant duties and miscellaneous tasks, as needed.

    Requirements –

    • Ability to handle scheduling and deadline calendaring for a very busy practice with a high level of accuracy.
    • Tech savvy with a minimum of 4+ years working with Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Can-do attitude and able to work well on a team.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
    • Ability to proofread drafted legal documents and correspondence.
    • Occasional overtime may be needed.
