    The Hilton Charlotte University Place is hiring a Warehouse Utility Person. Responsibilities: • Keep a tidy and organized warehouse area • Maintain stock of supplies/warehouse items/construction items • Load/unload materials to/from designated storage areas • Verify physical counts of stock • Facilities Maintenance – general repair and maintenance in and around the hotel • Comply with all applicable safety rules and regulations • Complete construction projects using warehouse items • Ensure the safe handling/storage of all warehouse items • Other duties as assigned in the maintenance department Qualifications: Skills/Experience: • Knowledge of maintaining buildings, equipment, and facilities in good repair • Operation and use of hand and power tools and equipment • Ability to perform semi-skilled to skilled work in the maintenance and repair of buildings and facilities • Understand and follow oral and written instructions • Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others • Basic record-keeping/math techniques • Ability to lift/push/pull heavy objects up to 75 pounds Working Conditions/Physical Demands: • Indoor/outdoor work • Subject to noise and exposure to fumes, dust, oil, dirt, and grease. • Climbing ladders • Dexterity of hands/fingers • Walking over rough/uneven surfaces • Reaching overhead, above the shoulders • Bending at the waist, kneeling, crouching • Walking and carrying, pushing and pulling heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies • Any combination equivalent to: a high school diploma or equivalent experience in a related field. • Candidates must be able to work varying shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
