The Brookfield Conference Center is searching for a Sous Chef!

Our friendly and creative Sous Chef works to ensure all guests receive exceptional service and high-quality food.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that all food items are prepared as per standard recipe cards while maintaining portion control and minimizing waste
Ensure that all food preparation equipment is being used safely and correctly and that it is cleaned and maintained
Work with Food & Beverage Director for creative menu planning and correct food preparation
Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels
Respond to and handle guest problems and complaints
Assist with recruiting and selecting culinary team
Ensure that the culinary department adheres to all company and hotel policies and procedures
What are we looking for?
Culinary degree or four years of food & beverage, culinary, or related professional area experience
Two years in a management position
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to speak clearly and listen attentively
Strong organization skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced setting, effective problem-solving skills
Positive attitude, outgoing and friendly personality
Strong leadership and a professional image
