Job Description We are seeking an innovative solution creator to join our team. If you're energized by understanding needs and creating or improving solutions, we want to talk with you. If selected, you will join a motivated and highly talented development team working to deliver financial services and software to local government. Your mission will be to create and improve software systems and processes used by both internal teams and clients. This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm and mostly remote with occasional meetings in our corporate headquarters in Brea, California. Job Responsibilities * Drive improvements for one or more of HdL's solutions * Clarify and prioritize business team requirements * Document functional requirements, specifications, and create user stories * Collaborate with the business product owner, subject matter experts, and developers * Maintain the product roadmap * Perform software functional testing * Coordinate and conduct User Acceptance Testing * Create user interface mock-ups and user quick-reference guides Skills and Qualifications * Working knowledge of at least one programming language preferred * Energetic team player with positive demeanor * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Excellent communicator, able to interface well with business and development team members * Optional, but not required: * User interface design * Graphics design * Reporting engines such as SSRS, Crystal Reports, Active Reports * Business Intelligence solutions such as Power BI, SSAS * Agile development methodologies Education and Experience * Bachelor's degree in applied or technical discipline (CS, Math, Statistics, Engineering, or similar) is preferred, * At least one year of relevant work experience Compensation The starting base salary for this Software Business Analyst position is expected to be between $65,000 to $85,000 annually. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law.
