Are you a passionate hip hop instructor who loves working with children? Ensemble Schools is looking for experienced hip hop teachers to join our teaching team at Evolve Dance Company __. Our growing studio in Rockford, IL , focuses on providing quality instruction in a safe environment. We're seeking instructors who can deliver engaging, in-person lessons and contribute to the vibrant dance community. Our positive classrooms are staffed by amazing teachers who go beyond teaching dance technique to developing important life skills in students because Evolve is about More Than Just Great Dancing!®

We are looking for hip hop teachers that can teach at a competitive level. The current hip hop schedule is as follows- Advanced HH: Monday, 6:45-7:30
Intermediate HH: Tuesday, 7:15-8:00
Beginner HH: Thursday, 8:00-8:45

Responsibilities:

• Instruct group classes in hip hop teaching foundational technique and challenging advanced students

• Have and utilize solid foundation in hip hop.

• Choreograph dances for students of various levels.

• Showcase a strong background in dance through educational, teaching, and/or performing experience.

• Demonstrate a genuine love for teaching and experience working with young dancers.

• Provide reliable transportation and pass a routine background check.

• Exhibit traits of dependability, professionalism, enthusiasm, punctuality, and friendliness.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Significant hip hop training and strong understanding of hip hop fundamentals
• Enthusiastic and vibrant personality for engaging young dancers.
• Post-secondary dance training experience such as a certificate or degree in dance performance, education, or related fields (not mandatory but a plus).

Evolve Dance Company started as a dream of Artistic Director, Jenny Vause, and became a reality in June of 2005. Since opening, Evolve continues to provide quality instruction to dancers in Rockford and the surrounding areas.

We are very proud of our teachers whose accomplishments include numerous choreography awards at competitions, choreography for children's theaters, professional back-up dancing, and work with local churches and school musicals.
