Controller (Agriculture)– Your Job Duties

In this role, you will provide all financial and operating information related to the agricultural supply chain area of the company. Nearly 90% of your role will be operational finance – partnering with operators to share your financial analysis of operating results and ongoing costs, to translate to financial results for business units.

• Perform financial analysis over business decisions (ie: lease or buy decisions) and bring this advice to the team for decision making
• Analyze operating and financial information to identify opportunities for operational improvements, bringing your findings and advice to the team
• Partner with operating colleagues to develop budgets for operations and financial performance
• Review all Cap Ex proposals and work with relevant colleagues to identify savings opportunities and calculate return on investment (ROI).
• Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and budgets for Cal Sun and Lucero operations.
• Prepare Quarterly and Annual Financial Statement packages
• Ensure assets and inventory are maintained and tracked within and among entities

Controller (Agriculture)– Required Skills, Experience & Fit

• Self-directed and self-motivated – you are in charge of your career and propelling impact
• Business savvy – you understand how the numbers and financial statements drive operations
• Understanding of financial statement packages and cash flow analysis
• Comfortable and successful communicating with cross-department leaders to understand business needs and develop meaningful KPIs, including providing recommendations
• Experienced with MS Excel at an advanced user level (V-Lookups and Pivot Table experience)
