    Our client is expanding their services offerings through a new mental health program to serve children and families of Shasta County and seeking a Clinical Director of Mental Health Services (Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Psychologist) to join their team.

    You will have the exciting opportunity to design, lead and grow the new mental health program.

    Your Job Duties

    As the Clinical Director of Mental Health Services, you will be responsible for the clinical and administrative oversight of the Agency’s Medi-Cal Specialty Mental Health Services, including adherence to contract, county, state, agency, and accreditation guidelines.

    • Design, coordinate and administer mental health services offered at the community based mental health site in partnership with the Chief Administrative Officer.
    • Supervise a staff of 5 (mix of clinician and administration) in day-to-day operations including the provision of clinical supervision to licensed/unlicensed clinicians, providing support and back-up when needed, assist with recruitment, evaluations and management.
    • Ensure quality therapeutic care of clients is provided in accordance with the program through ongoing monitoring and oversight.
    • Oversee and manage a large specialty mental health budget including ensuring compliance with all related contractual and regulatory statutes and providing reporting and metrics.
    • Develop, manage, and supervise program services, policies, and procedures.

    Required Skills & Experience

    • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an accredited college or university.
    • Licensed in California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Psychologist (PsyD).
    • Meets the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) requirements for clinical supervision to pre-licensed LCSW and MFT’s.
    • Experience in a Medi-Cal billing environment and meet eligibility requirements to bill for Medi-Cal Services.
    • Demonstrated clinical skills, principles, and methods in working with vulnerable populations.

    Desired, Not Required

    • Clinical experience providing child and family services.
    • Experience designing and managing a mental health services clinic.
