    Learning & Development Manager – Your Job Duties

    In this role, you will coordinate and collaborate across departments to prepare and monitor trainings for colleagues in every area of the business, from manufacturing to production to back office.

    • Collaborate with colleagues throughout the organization in various departments about their department training needs – including factory and agricultural operations, manufacturing, safety and related certifications.
    • Develop training materials – using PowerPoint, written tests, experiential learning, and other methods that you and your colleagues deem appropriate.
    • Provide training – topics including GMPs, safety, company policies, specific certifications.
    • Monitor training and certification data for personnel throughout the company, ensuring data is accurate and up to date at all times.
    • Coordinate and schedule on-site trainings (book conference rooms, projector, AV, and materials needed).
    • Coordinate outside vendors for training when appropriate. (The goal is to limit the use of outside vendors as your role centralizes the training in-house.)

    You will likely deliver trainings during the “off-season” from November through March, and plan, prepare and audit systems during the agricultural busy season.

    Learning & Development Manager – You are:

    • Self-directed and self-motivated – you structure your days effectively to deliver results without direction or oversight
    • Very organized – you are a master at tracking many moving parts
    • Someone with excellent follow up and follow through – you do what you say, when you say you will
    • Extroverted – you enjoy communication and collaboration including some facilitation and teaching
    • Experienced with administering and monitoring trainings inside of an organization
    • Comfortable and experienced developing training materials (MS Office suite of products, typing, research)

    Learning & Development Manager – You might be:

    • Experienced with manufacturing or agricultural companies
    • Experienced with implementing an LMS (learning management system)
    • Knowledge of GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practice)

    This role is located in office in Los Banos, California. Travel to locations around the area is anticipated, with occasional travel to the Sacramento area manufacturing facility. Compensation salary exempt, DOE, plus annual bonus potential.
