    Project Coordinator- Design & Construction- Job Duties 

    As the Project Coordinator- Design & Construction, you will provide the back office and field support for residential remodel projects in San Francisco during Design, Construction and Post Construction. Your time will be split between the office (75%) and the field (25%).

    Design

    • Represent the Company in client design meetings, including taking notes and publishing meeting minutes.
    • Assist with preparation and tracking of design schedules, labor estimates and subcontractor bids.
    • Ensure Project Scopes in Contracts are consistent with Construction Documents (Plans, Elevations, Details, Schedules) and filed into Dropbox, BuilderTrend and Job Binders. 

    Preconstruction

    • Ensure job documentation is complete and packaged properly, including ensuing that all work is identified in Construction Documents and shown in Schedules (Finish Schedules, Door Schedules, Lighting Schedules, etc.)
    • Obtain all building permits.
    • Ensure all Subcontracts are executed and filed.
    • Hold project review meeting with Production Manager, Lead Carpenters and Designers.
    • Schedule Preconstruction Meetings with homeowner, sales person and lead carpenter.

     Construction:

    • Prepare and manage weekly meetings by ensuring PM weekly reports are completed and reviewed.
    • Assist with coordination of employees, subcontractors, selections and invoicing.
    • Order, track and verify delivery of finish and fixture materials.
    • Track Change Orders for client’s approval and update Project Schedule.
    • Assist with subcontractor communication and coordination of changes to trade schedule.
    • Document job progress via photos and written daily descriptions in field job folder.

    Post Construction:

    • Prepare and participate in Post-Project Analysis.
    • Work with production manager to develop estimating data base.
    • Gather, analyze and report on client satisfaction surveys with the goal of creating customers for life.

    Project Coordinator- Design & Construction – Skills and Experience

    • Prior experience in a construction and/or architectural or interior design environment providing administrative and field support to multiple projects.
    • Able to read and interpret Construction Documents.
    • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
    • Strong project coordination and project management skills – you have the skills and ability to manage many moving parts, follow up with and meet critical deadlines.
    • Desire to take on tasks and demonstrate self-initiative to help the Company.
    • Construction Management Degree, not required, but a plus!
    • Experience working on commercial or residential construction projects in San Francisco, a plus!
