    Generation Development is an urban residential development company specializing in new construction. Our contracting division, Generation Constructors, is seeking a Project Engineer to join our growing team.

    About the Opportunity

    It is an exciting time at Generation Development as we have launched our own general contracting business Generation Constructors, to support our residential and commercial development projects. The Project Engineer position offers the opportunity to help build a business from the ground up, but with all the benefits of an established company including strong financial backing and a pipeline of business. We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer who is well versed in all aspects of multi-unit residential construction, is not afraid to get his/her hands dirty and can hit the ground running.     Responsibilities

    • Provide coordination and field support to the Project Manager and Superintendent
    • Assist with estimating during pre-construction
    • Prepare, review, and process submittals
    • Prepare, review, and process RFI’s
    • Assist in maintaining as built drawings
    • Manage project documents and ensure organization
    • Assist the Superintendent with schedule updates
    • Hands on management with the QA/QC process
    • Planning and coordinating with all trades and subcontractors
    • Handle deliveries and management of site materials
    • Assist with ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate
    • Active engagement with company safety program
    • Work with the project accountant to create PO’s, track deliveries, and approve invoices
    • Assist with closeout, obtaining warranties and O&M manual documents
    • Manage the punch list process with subcontractors
    • Ensure company policies and procedures are maintained

       

      Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in construction management, engineering, related field, or equivalent work experience
    • Working knowledge of software programs, such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint
    • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
    • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
    • Strong set of personal values that align with the company
    • Have a positive A positive attitude coupled with high energy and a problem-solving mindset
    • ExpExperience with PlanGrid construction software is desired, but not required
    • While not required, 2-3 years’ construction experience is a definite plus along with experience on multi-family construction projects
    • Keen eye to identify non-compliance with regulations or standards and ability to find solutions for deficiencies or problems
    • Ability to stand for several hours at a time and to walk in varying climate conditions and on uneven ground

     

    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

    • Annual salary $50k-$70k DOE
