    Entry Level Legal Secretary/Junior Paralegal – Room to Grow

    A stable and growing law firm is looking for a new team member to join our team. This bankruptcy firm is busy and has a vibrant and compassionate culture.     In this role you would be responsible for general receptionist duties, such as answering the phones and general calendaring duties and work directly with our clients to provide support. In addition, you will have legal secretarial duties and entry level paralegal duties, such as filing with the court, learning drafting and more.

    There is room to grow in this role and would be an excellent opportunity for someone who just received their paralegal certificate or is interested in newly learning the field.

    The ideal candidate should be a quick learner, be great with computers and technology, is client centric and works efficiently. Additionally, you should be a self-starter, able to work independently, but not be afraid to ask for help when you need it. We highly value collaboration, a proactive attitude and people with an aptitude for problem solving. Great communication skills, being highly organized and an excellent attention to detail are a must.

    Duties Include, but not limited to:

    • Reception Duties, answering phones, greeting clients
    • Manage calendars
    • Organizing and classifying records and info
    • Managing client communications
    • Court Filings
    • Drafting and other legal writing as trained
    • General Admin duties

    Required Experience:

    • 2 - 3 years of experience as an Admin Assistant, Receptionist or similar role
    • 2 - 3 years in a client facing or customer service oriented role
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
    • 1 - 2 years of paralegal or legal secretary experience preferred, but not required
    • Experience working with confidential files or similar preferred, but not required
    • Paralegal Certificate, College degree or course work preferred, but not required

    Hours and Compensation:

    • Full time, Monday – Friday, 8-5pm
    • $35,000-$40,000 annually, Depending on Experience
