ABOUT US

Successful entrepreneurs and motivational speakers, Megan and Dan Valentine, have created multiple businesses helping and coaching others to wellness. As former ministry leaders, they lead with faith and support their clients in creating meaningful lives.

The family is seeking a creative, educated, and energetic private tutor/coach to manage and oversee remote schooling for their children (4th grade and 8th grade). This position will work Monday to Thursday, from 8:00am - 3:00pm. 

ABOUT YOU

You're a positive, creative, coach and teacher who is able to encourage and build confidence in others. You're a math and technology expert able to successfully work through math problems and keep up to date with all the systems required for distance learning. You know how to get creative and support children with ADD or ODD and are willing to learn and adapt to help them succeed.

WHAT WILL YOUR DAY-TO-DAY LOOK LIKE?

• Work from the Valentine home, assist with daily lessons, monitor how well they comprehend the curriculum and coordinate with teachers
• Explain math problem-solving methods in easy-to-understand ways
• Set lesson goals and milestones
• Provide encouragement and positive motivation to build confidence
• Strive to create a fun, safe, and educational environment that keeps them engaged
• Build nurturing and trusting relationships with both children
• Utilize outdoor games and activities for breaks or while studying to keep them engaged and oversee PE credits

YOU HAVE

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
• At least 3+ years related experience working as a private teacher, tutor, or homeschooling
• Exceptional organizational skills, excellent judgment, and the ability to multi-task
• Comfortable working in a household
