Shelby Communications is hiring Lead Technicians

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Install all cabling standards in ceiling, conduits and raised floors; routes cable within walls and modular furniture

Build closets (Mount and install backboards, racks, patch panels, fiber optic Build Racks, Punch down closets and neatly dressed with no divers.) The majority of our jobs are in commercial or warehouse locations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Ø 4-5 Years of Network Cabling Experience

Ø Have Reliable Transportation/Truck or Van Capability hauling 8ft-10ft Ladders on Daily basis

Ø Able to read & understand construction blueprints.

Ø Able to install, drop, terminate Cat5e, Cat 6, Cat6A per BICSI EIA/ TIA 568 A 568B Standards w/ Fiber Optic Cabling Multimode & Single mode w/ Unicam Fiber Kit experience. Must be able to set up pathways, read blueprints, build out MDF/IDF and have the ability to operate Fluke Network Testing Equipment.

Ø Able to Buildout IDF’s, MDF’s such as 2 & 4 Post Standalone Racks, Wall Mount Cabinets, Ladder Racks, Grounding AWG per BICSI Standards

Ø Have excellent knowledge of dressing out cabling w/ no divers to the following IT Racks, Wall Mount Cabinets

Ø Able to install EMT Conduit- not required but bonus

Ø Working knowledge of installing & mounting Wireless Access Points inside & outside commercial facilities

Ø Scissor & Boom Lift Experience Required

Ø Able to pass a background check with no felonies
