Kinetic Events Staffing is in search of event staff in the Chicago area. Our next fall event is Oct 15-18 at McCormick Place and is a retail industry conference bringing together current and future leaders to discuss the latest trends, technologies, and strategies for shaping the future of retail. This is a great opportunity to join our roster as we will have other events in Chicago throughout the upcoming season. Job Description

• This event takes place at the McCormick Place.

• The pay rate for this job is $21/hr.

• Job duties include registration, info desk support, room monitoring, directional/wayfinding, and restocking/maintaining the swag store. Training for roles will be provided onsite.

• All positions are standing positions and you may be required to work more than one role during the course of this event. Flexibility is the key to success at Kinetic Events!

• Rest and lunch breaks are paid.

• Parking will be reimbursed post-event for a predetermined amount. No public transportation or ride-sharing will be reimbursed.

• A uniform is not provided for this event. You are expected to wear your own white shirt or blouse, jeans (any color), and black or white closed-toed shoes. All clothing should be clean and free of holes, tears and logos.

Shift Times: **

• Ideally, available for at least 3 out of the 4 days of this event.
• Tues Oct 15: Mandatory paid onsite training from 11am - 4pm with a small amount of shifts available until 6pm.
• Wed Oct 16, Thurs Oct 17 and Fri Oct 18: Available shift times include 7:15am-3:45pm, 7:15am-4:45pm, 7:30am-4:30pm, 8am-4:30pm and 10:30am-3:30pm. Ideally, you are available to work the same shift time all three days.

Ideal Candidates

• Previous event & conference experience is preferred. Customer service experience is required.
• Must be friendly, outgoing, and professional.
• Must be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods and interacting with groups of people.
• Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors.
