    Job Description

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Histology Laboratory Research Associate to support cutting-edge molecular pathology research. This role involves performing routine and advanced histology techniques, contributing to data acquisition and analysis, and working closely with cross-functional teams in a dynamic client-focused environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform routine histology procedures including tissue processing, trimming, embedding, paraffin block microtomy, and cryo-sectioning.
    • Execute standard and specialized staining techniques such as H&E and special stains.
    • Conduct molecular pathology assays including immunohistochemistry (IHC), RNAscope, and multiplex staining using both automated platforms (Ventana, Leica) and manual methods.
    • Maintain and monitor laboratory equipment, ensuring accurate record-keeping and proper specimen archiving.
    • Analyze digital pathology images and generate quantitative data using software tools such as HALO and MATLAB.
    • Collaborate with board-certified anatomic pathologists to review and quality-check image analysis algorithms.
    • Adhere to good laboratory practices and maintain high standards of documentation and data integrity.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences with 3–4 years of relevant experience, or
    • Master’s degree with 1–2 years of experience in a research or pharmaceutical histology lab.

    Skills & Knowledge:

    • Proficiency in histology techniques including tissue processing and staining.
    • Familiarity with digital pathology platforms and image analysis tools is preferred.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Additional Requirements:

    • ASCP certification (HT or HTL) preferred.
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

    Additional Information

    What to Expect in the Hiring Process:

    • 10-15 Minute Phone Interview with Region Recruiter
    • 45-60 Minute Virtual Interview with Manager and/or Group Leader
    • 45-60 Minute Onsite Meeting with the Team

    Additional Details:

    The position is onsite, full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Boston, MA, and the surrounding areas are encouraged to apply.

    Excellent full-time benefits include:

    • Hourly Compensation: $36-$42, depending on education and experience * Estimated Annual Salary : $74,880 – $87,360
