    Job Description

    Hitchiner is opening a new plant in Milford, NH and we are looking for an experienced recruiter to join our team!

    Prime Responsibilities and Major Factors in Evaluating Performance:

    1. Recruit for all hourly positions using standard recruiting methods.

    2. Interview and screen applicants for hourly positions;

    3. Conduct all reference checks on all qualified applicants.

    4. Schedule applicant interviews with hiring supervisors and follow up with supervisor on selection.

    5. Schedule pre-employment drug tests and physicals.

    6. Prepare all hourly job offers, status forms and regret letters.

    7. Set up and conduct new hire orientations for new employees.

    8. Prepare and run new hire orientation program.

    9. Complete and process all required forms, ensuring benefits.

    10. Order all uniforms, safety shoes and other personal equipment as needed by new hire.

    11. Conduct 5-day, 30-day and 60-day follow up with all new hires

    12. Identify methods to use to ensure turnover rate is maintained.

    13. Administer the hourly job posting programs and post all internal hourly job openings,

    14. Screen internal applicants by reviewing attendance and disciplinary action records and in-house job application.

    15. When applicable, work with supervisors to assist in the selection of eligible candidates as in accordance to our policy on Posting and Bidding and HRU-24

    16. Prepare all internal offer letters/regret letters to all applicants,

    17. Prepare a variety of reports on the recruiting process and distribute.

    18. Work closely with corporate and plant management to ensure consistent application of human resources’ policies and procedures.

    19. Maintain positive employee relations by insuring fair and equitable treatment of all employees by ensuring our policies and procedures.

    20. Write content for external (social media and website) and internal communication as needed.

    21. Propose topics, themes, formats and content that will engage audiences on social media.

    22. Assist with planning and executing company events.

    23. Ensure that all activities and operations are performed in compliance with the Company’s Code of Conduct.

      Additional Responsibilities:

    24. Maintain accurate training records.

    25. Ensure training records are in compliance with all necessary standards

    26. Update and maintain hourly and salaried job descriptions

    27. Plan retirement luncheon/dinners

    28. Assist employees with access and understanding of Dayforce.

    29. Assist the Human Resources department and other teams in the organization as needed.

    30. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    1.      Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or another business related area. 

    2.      At least 2 years’ experience in recruiting. 

    3.      Relevant experience coordinating social media and marketing efforts for an organization.  Knowledge of social media best practices (posting, sharing, boosting, conflict management, customer service, data management).

    4.      Must have excellent communication skills and possess the ability to communicate verbally and through written correspondence across multiple functions and departments.

    5.      Ability to work independently, be detail-oriented and organized.

    6.      Possess excellent word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database management computer skills.

    7.      Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
