Job Description
Hours: Monday-Friday 3:30pm - 12am
Pay: $17.96/hr + 5% shift premium for 2nd shift!
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Set up all types of wax injection machines; make machine adjustments as required during the shift to insure continuous production. Review all die related waxing problems with setup operators on all shifts. Take action to eliminate die related quality problems resulting in unacceptable wax quality.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:
Wax injection machines requiring manually-loaded dies, machine control devices including temperature, water, wax flow and wax injection controls; inserts; dies and die parts; vernier calipers, micrometers; dial indicators, height gages, etc.
MATERIALS:
Wax, wax patterns, chills, die lubricants etc.
DIRECTION OF OTHERS:
Provide training and technical assistance to Wax Cell Setup Trainees. Provide technical guidance to Wax Cell Operators who are performing wax injection functions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Exposure to dirt dust, odors, and noise within acceptable limits with the use of protective equipment.

Qualifications
SPECIAL SKILLS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Employee must be capable of using simple arithmetic, and demonstrate the capability to read instructions and interpret photographs. Knowledge and familiarity of the investment casting process is preferred. An employee in this job function is required to lift a minimum of 35 lbs. Vision requirement of 20/25, near correctable. High School Diploma or equivilant is required.
