    Full Job Description GENERAL SUMMARY: At Hive Martial Arts, the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Coach is responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience, keeping true to the Hive Martial Arts culture. Coaches are responsible for delivering great member service, quality instruction, large group, small group, and private training while achieving revenue goals. This position requires a minimum of on day on the weekend. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Sales Execution on Key Metrics. Sell and conduct private and group training with members. Assist members and encourage involvement in private and small group training. Ensure accurate administration of client programs, measurement tracking and workout programs. Arrive on time, prepared and attentive for classes. Assist in all revenue generating activities, including but not limited to: complimentary workouts, seminars, workshops, etc. Responsible for achieving revenue objectives set forth by Hive Martial Arts. Member Experience Focus on changing lives through Service, Science and Sales. Be a brand ambassador of Hive Martial Arts. Conduct safe and effective BJJ classes. Mixed Martial Arts experience a huge plus! Maintain the organization and neat presentation of the fitness floor and training spaces at all times. Miscellaneous Follow all policies and procedures regarding payment transactions. Follow all guidelines in the Hive Martial Arts Employee Handbook. Be knowledgeable of club facility and services. Adhere to agreed upon schedule set forth by the Academy Owner. ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS: The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Coach will report directly to the Owner. Duties require interaction with all club members and employees. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge, skills & abilities: *An ability to teach all age ranges including youth (7-12) Teen (13-17) and Adult (18+) classes effectively. *In depth knowledge of Private Training techniques from assessment to program design. *Knowledge of company policies, practices and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. *Strong interpersonal and communication skills. *Able to generate, maintain and demonstrate a friendly, enthusiastic and positive attitude. *Possess a strong customer service focus. Responds professionally to requests and inquiries from guests, members and staff. *Understands and follow oral and written instructions. *Communicates clearly and concisely. *Possesses strong organizational skills. Understands basic record keeping practices and procedures. Demonstrates the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks. *Experience operating office equipment such as computers, calculators, fax and photocopiers. *Must be computer proficient with basic skills in Word and Excel. *Ability to work, setup and execute successful weekends. *Extroverted/Self motivator/Customer service minded. *Adhere to meal and rest break periods and must clock in and out for all shift times. Required Experience: Minimum of Brown belt or higher. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Belt Certificate. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Coach lineage verification. Grappling tournament record (preferred) Minimum 1 year of related teaching experience. Physical Requirements: *While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. *Physical effort required for daily duties include lifting heavy weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting & prolonged standing and walking. *Must be able to frequently lift and /or moves up to 45+ pounds. Pay and Benefits: Starting wage is $15 per hour during the 90 day probationary period. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, you will receive a $1 per hour raise and gain access to 401k, profit sharing, and health benefits. Bonus Opportunities: Receive competitive bonuses in addition to a guaranteed salary by meeting, maintaining, and surpassing revenue and active member goals. Earn full time pay working 25-30 hours per week! Potential to earn up to 25% of gross revenue generated through the BJJ program. Compensation example: Metric 1: 50 Members on contract: Guaranteed Salary of $25,000 Metric 2: 75 Members on contract: Guaranteed Salary - $40,000 Metric 3: 100 Members on contract: Guaranteed Salary $55,000 Metric 4: 150 Members on contract: Guaranteed Salary $96,000
