    Hoffmann Brothers has been the premier residential and commercial service contractor serving the St Louis area for over 40 years. We are a family-owned business and we recognize that our company’s success is driven by our exceptional team members.  Hoffmann Brothers’ annual growth rate has exceeded 30% for each of the last 4 fiscal years, and our leadership team intends to sustain this organic growth while concurrently extending the geographic reach of our operations.  Most notably, Hoffmann Brothers has acquired a 20,000 sqft facility in Nashville, Tennessee and is scheduled to begin serving customers in Nashville on 9/1/2020.  Hoffmann Brothers currently employs 200 full-time team members.

    We are looking for a VICE PRESIDENT OF INTERNAL OPERATIONS who thrives in a high-growth environment, is a strong leader and communicator, and is motivated to drive positive change within our rapidly growing organization. The ideal candidate has demonstrated success leading cross functional teams and establishing key metrics. This position serves as a strategic partner on the leadership team and will help drive organizational effectiveness and employee engagement so that strategic company objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.

     

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage cross functional teams which include Customer Experience & Dispatch, Fleet Management, General Administrative, Human Resources, IT, and Warehouse & Supply Chain functions; work closely with each team to understand their needs and better support them.
    • Review and evaluate processes, procedures, identify opportunities for improvements, create efficiencies and implement company wide. Prepare, support, and help teams with organizational changes.
    • Develop and implement best-practices in the areas of team member growth, education, and development which contribute to a high performing workforce.  
    • Manage vendor relationships.
    • Track and monitor key metrics for each team to ensure desired outcomes (KPIs) are met.
    • Ensure the company is compliant with all federal and state laws.
    • Maintain appropriate staffing levels. Ensure company offerings remain competitive in the market.   
    • In coordination with the Safety Manager, strengthen a safety culture throughout the company.
    • Oversee internal and external IT functions which includes selecting and implementing suitable technology to help streamline internal operations.
    • Actively manage employee engagement throughout the company; create and oversee employee recognition programs.
    • Establish departmental training programs, structures and education which support the achievement of the company’s strategic objectives. Oversee company’s $500,000 training and development budget.
    • In coordination with the marketing team, manage company philanthropic relationships and charitable giving.

      

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Human Resources, Training and Development or related field required; MBA preferred
    • 5+ years of experience in relevant positions, to include leadership roles
    • Strong understanding of logistics, human resources, training and development, legal compliance, safety, IT and general business functions
    • Experienced with Change Management; Ability to positively implement change and inspire teammates
    • Comfortable with conflict management
    • Self-starter ready to create positive change
    • Excellent communication, leadership, presentation, and planning skills

     

    SALARY AND BENEFITS

    • Salary is based on experience and education.
    • Incentive plan eligible for 2021 fiscal year.

    WORKING CONDITIONS 

    • Primary responsibilities are performed indoors in an office environment. Essential physical requirements include sitting, standing, bending, light lifting and typing on a computer for extended periods of time.
    • Exposure to warehouse environment which requires the appropriate PPE.
