    The Senior Sales Manager will be responsible for soliciting group sales business and catering sales that will enable the hotels to meet and/or exceed revenue goals in room nights and banquet sales. Key job duties of the Senior Sales Manager may include:

    Responsible for driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.

    Meets and exceeds revenue goals by developing new accounts and growing current hotel accounts in a profitable and win-win approach.

    Targets results-oriented high revenue potential sales calls to ensure a successful direct sales program, in accordance with goals established by department budget and marketing plan.

    Maximizes current hotel key accounts by identifying and capturing those that offer revenue growth.

    Captures competitor’s accounts through networking, research and reader board surveys in order to target and solicit those most probable to generate new business.

    Acquires referrals from existing accounts. Follows up on all leads within a specified amount of time within receipt in an effort to create new business for the hotel. When appropriate sends leads to other LTD hotels.

    Continually plans & implements an on-going targeted account development hit list in order to create new revenue and acquire valuable hotel contacts and contracts.

    Maintains a well documented, accurate, organized and up to date file management system in order to serve clients and employer in the most expedient, organized and knowledgeable manner.

    Achieves activity goals as established by management and completes all reports and assignments in an accurate and timely fashion.

    Working with other departments within the hotel to provide quality service to customers.

    Assisting hotel management with developing and implementing hotel-specific selling strategies.

    Utilizing a proactive sales approach to saturate and penetrate accounts that meet the hotels’ quarterly goals.

    Interacting with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.

    Performing special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Additionally, the requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skills and or ability required.

    Three to five (3 to 5) years of hotel sales leadership experience

    Direct experience with the following hotel sales categories is required: *Group Sales *Recreation Sales *Transient Sales *Key account sales * Catering Sales

    Content expert in at least one of the above market segments.

    Knowledge of hotel operations, comp set rates, positioning, discounts, promotions and packages is required

    Must have own reliable transportation with a valid state drivers license in order to make sales calls.
