    Hotel Front Desk Agent/ Saturday & Sunday AM/PM SHIFTS Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team of Hotel Front Desk professionals in Louisville, KY, US! As the face of the hotel, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that guests have a comfortable and pleasant stay. Your duties will include confirming reservation details and length of stay, assisting with check-in procedures, assigning rooms, addressing special requests, verifying payment methods, and communicating important information to other hotel staff. As a member of the IHG family of hotels, you will also gain access to discounts when you travel and stay at any IHG property hotel globally! Responsibilities: • Greet and check in hotel guests upon arrival • Ensure that rooms are correctly booked and allocated to guests • Follow all credit, cash-handling, and check-cashing protocols • Keep up-to-date records of room availability, prices, and types • Present guests with hotel services and alternatives in order to increase sales • Be informed of the hotel's amenities, services, and activities • Communicate room status updates with housekeeping staff • Refresh meeting rooms as needed • Be informed of what businesses offer in the downtown area so you can assist guests in making their trip everything they imagine. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent • Previous customer service or hospitality experience is preferred • Working knowledge of Opera is a bonus • Excellent communication skills in English, the primary language used in the workplace • Ability to stand for extended periods of time (8 hours per shift) • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds • Strong typing, grasping, writing, and listening skills • A positive attitude is essential Compensation: $15 per hour
