HOLLY HUNT is a sales and service organization, as well as designer and maker of high-end interior design furniture, lighting, textiles, leather, and rugs. HOLLY HUNT’S “to the trade” customers are interior designers and architects. 85 to 90 percent of business revenue is generated from residential purchases, while 10 to 15 percent is generated from contract, corporate or hospitality purchases.
POSITION PROFILE
The Vendor Planner is the primary link between the showrooms and their assigned vendors. This person manages all orders with their vendors in a proactive manner and assures that information about these orders is up-to-date and communicated appropriately. The Vendor Planner works with the showrooms and the vendor to address their needs and concerns on orders.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintains close working relationships at the assigned vendors.
- Release purchase orders with deposit checks to the vendors
- Review status of projects with the vendors to identify and resolve any issues including:
- Change orders
- Late orders
- BDN’s
- Complete orders
- Missing requirements (fabric, new information, etc.)
- Update the status report as soon as new information is available
- Proactively communicates issues and updates to the showrooms
- Work with the vendors and showrooms to adjust schedules as needed
- Approve purchase orders and invoices for payment to the vendors
- Communicate and coordinate with logistics about shipments
- Coordinate with the Customer Service manager about quality issues and their resolution
Required Skills
- 3-5 years of experience in a customer service or sales support position; familiarity with small, domestic manufacturing a plus; experience in MTO luxury goods a plus
- Bachelor’s degree preferred

- Strong client first focus and communication skills
- Strong technical skills – Microsoft office required
