    We're looking for a tech-savvy Controller to be responsible for financial analysis within managerial accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close. The Controller will also implement and manage all policies and procedures related to compliance and ongoing maintenance of all accounting practices. Our ideal candidate will hit the ground running, provide immediate recommendations/solutions, and can work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    MANAGEMENT:

    • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
    • Manage outsourced functions
    • Oversee and perform the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives
    • Oversee and perform the accounting operations including control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures
    • Transactions:
    • Ensure that accounts payable are recorded properly and paid in a timely manner
    • Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly
    • Ensure bank reconciliations are completed monthly
    • Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis
    • Maintain the chart of accounts
    • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
    • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions

    REPORTING:

    • Issue timely and complete financial statements to internal executives and investors
    • Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report
    • Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations
    • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
    • Provide revenue forecasts, pro forma financials and manage the production of the annual budget, calculate variances and report significant issues to management
    • Provide for a system of management cost reports
    • Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
    • Compliance:
    • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit
    • Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants
    • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline, CPA a plus
    • Minimum 7 years of accounting experience in a senior accounting or financial management role
    • Quickbooks Online Accounting
    • High proficiency with Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel
    • Experience in complex revenue streams, GAAP compliance and revenue recognition (ASC 606)
    • Experience with all general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
    • Experience with both internal and external audits and due diligence
    • Self-motivated and self-directed
    • Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written), inspire, and motivate all levels of staff
    • Ability to think and act strategically and proactively
