With a thriving culture rooted innovation, Holonis is growing, and we're looking for a Principal Engineer who's mastered Node.js to help build our team and shape the architecture and design of the Holonis platform. You'll join a friendly, talented team in our downtown San Diego office, and will play a key role in building a large scale platform to serve millions of users. And as performance, scalability, and extensibility are critical facets to the platform, we're looking for someone with expertise in design patterns who's on the pulse of the latest technology trends.
MUST HAVES:
- 7+ years of development experience building commercial grade software
- Extensive experience building large-scale, cloud deployed platforms
- Demonstrated experience designing and architecting major software components
- Expert-level knowledge of Node.js and extensive experience with a variety of javascript frameworks
- Expert-level knowledge of Javascript including ES6 and ES7
- High expertise designing testable software and writing automated tests
- Experience with container management software like Docker, AWS ECS, Kubernetes
- Expertise in both relational and NoSQL databases
- Strong communication and soft skills, able to motivate, mentor and help fellow developers as well as communicate complex ideas effectively
- Great sense of humor with a team-first mentality
- Hunger for professional development and dedication to continuous learning
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience with test-driven development, microservices, and continuous deployment
- Well-versed in modern front-end frameworks like Angular and React
- Experience with data-warehousing solutions, AI frameworks, and working in an Agile environment
- Experience with real-time data streaming platforms like Kafka or Kinesis
