    JOB OVERVIEW

    Holt Construction is actively seeking an Intern to join our Accounting Team.  The Intern assists and supports the accounting team by maintaining accurate and complete accounting records. The position works under direct supervision and gathers and distributes information. The Intern must be a team player and have strong organizational and accounting skills.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    ·         Maintain database of subcontractor emails addresses in Lien Waiver Mailbox

    ·         Assist in generating Lien Waivers to subcontractors

    ·         Email Lien Waivers to subcontractors

    ·         Execute returned Lien Waivers

    ·         Run checks and ensure they match up to corresponding lien waivers

    ·         Close out Lien Waivers

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    ·         Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience or currently obtaining degree

    ·         Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.

    ·         Understand basic accounting principles i.e. journal entries, general ledger, etc.

    ·         Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, good work ethic and interpersonal skills

    ·         Communicate effectively both in writing and verbally

    ·         Must have strong interpersonal and influencing skills needed to communicate with the variety of participants involved with a construction project (clients, subcontractors, vendors, project team) 

    ·         Possess good time management and organizational skills including the ability to work on several projects simultaneously, meet critical deadlines, and determine the priority of assignments based on deadlines that must be met
