  • Responsibilities

    Responsible for developing and maintaining personal banking relationships with new and existing customers and providing quality customer service. This position will guide customers to purchase bank products that meet their needs and use each customer interaction as an opportunity to introduce additional products and services to broaden the relationship. The incumbent will also train to work as a teller.

    New Account Sales & Service duties include but not limited to:

    • Learn to identify customer needs and cross sell opportunities to develop new business. Where appropriate, actively take advantage of all sales opportunities, cross-selling bank products and services to new and existing customers, ensuring recommended products meet the needs of customer.
    • Effectively interviews and profiles customers in order to recommend appropriate banking products and services.
    • Process complex transactions such as changing account ownership, living trusts, guardianship accounts, and estate assignments.
    • Open and close customer accounts including checking, savings, money markets, certificates of deposit and IRA’s.
    • The ability to develop knowledge and understanding of Home Bank of California’s Products and Services.

    Teller duties include but not limited to:

    • Perform all transactions promptly, efficiently, and accurately through the FPS Gold system.
    • Adhere to all procedures including operational and corporate customer service guidelines .
    • Cash handling, withdrawals, deposits, process loan payments, cashier’s checks, wire processing and bill payments.
    • Other duties as assigned and responsible for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to the position.
    • Provide friendly, courteous, professional customer service
    • Assist in bank promotions
    • Available to work fulltime M-F

    Qualifications:

    • Two or more years related new account banking experience required.
    • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
    • Must have strong cash handling, sales and customer service skills and the ability to work well with employees and customers in a cooperative, positive manner.
    • Must be able to multi-task and be detailed oriented.
