We are in need of caregivers in the greater Springfield area to help elderly clients with transportation! Applicants must have a valid driver's license and a personal vehicle. Part-time, various clients and locations. M-F and weekends, day/evening shifts available.

Visiting Angels is "America's Choice In Homecare!" We are a non-medical, private pay & VA senior provider operating since 1999. Our work culture is top notch. We have many caregivers that have been with us for several years.

Responsibilities:

Transport clients to and from appointments, errands, etc.

Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles

Care for patients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, or assisting with personal care

Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor

Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert

Requirements:

1+ years of experience in direct care

Punctuality, reliability, compassion, patience, empathy

Strong ability to read, write, understand, and speak English so as to:

Read ADL's

Communicate verbally with clients, families, co-workers, and administrative staff

Vehicle or transportation

Ability to add Business Class 30 to car insurance

Valid MA Driver's License

Pass a background check

At least 2 professional references (not friends)

Be willing to accept at least 1 e/o weekend shift

Preferred:

HHA or CNA certification (not required, we work with applicants to get HCA certified)
