Responsibilities and Duties: Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living which include (but are not limited to):

Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions

Accompany patient on errands or medical appointments.

Assists client with personal care, including bathing, grooming, and dressing

Provide companionship and emotional support to clients

Performs housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning bathroom

Help clients with mobility and transportation to appointments or activities

Document and report any changes in the client's condition to the care team

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate preferred.

At least one (1) year of experience as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) is required.

Experience working with clients with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease preferred.

Experience assisting with client transfers using a Hoyer lift and/or gait belt preferred.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as required for the position.
