    Occupational Therapist position available in Woodhaven, MI, US Seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide family-centered home health care services Specializing in musculoskeletal, neurological, orthopedic, trauma-related, cardiorespiratory, sensory-motor, fine motor, developmental, and swallowing difficulties Responsibilities: Patient and caregiver education, discharge planning, collaboration with healthcare specialists Conducting assessments, providing training, recommending supplies for daily tasks, teaching adaptive technology Guiding therapeutic activities to enhance patients' daily functioning Responsibilities: • Conduct assessments to evaluate the functional level of patients residing in Woodhaven, MI, US. • Collect background information, assess referrals, choose appropriate evaluation tools, and assess patients to determine their physical and psychosocial capacity. • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and adjust the care plan. • Be accountable for planning, implementing, and assessing treatment for assigned caseload. • Document clinical progress notes accurately. • Offer guidance to therapy assistants and home health aides as needed. • Educate patients and their families on the correct and safe use of adaptive equipment and provide installation recommendations. • Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA). Qualifications: • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from a four-year course is a mandatory requirement. • Completion of at least six months of clinical affiliations in designated areas of O.T. Centers is necessary. • Certification by the Board of Registry of the American Occupational Therapy Association or eligibility for certification is mandatory. • Maintaining strict confidentiality regarding protected and sensitive information is essential. • Establishing and maintaining respect of owners and employees is necessary. • Demonstrating proficiency in independently solving problems by applying analytical and logical thinking is required. • Proficiency in using standard office equipment and software is necessary. • Preferably, a minimum of 1 year of experience as an OT is preferred. Compensation: $55 - $75 hourly
