    Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant home health care As our next physical therapist, we're looking for a medical professional who is enthusiastic about patient care. You will work with individuals who experience mobility problems following surgery or an injury and assist them in creating a treatment strategy. In this position, you will be in charge of putting together individualized health and fitness programs for patients as well as giving them physical therapy to reduce pain and increase mobility. Our ideal applicant will be knowledgeable about the most recent advancements in treatment and will have experience dealing with a wide range of patient issues. Responsibilities: • Evaluate and interpret findings from the patient's tests results and assessments • Talk to patients and assess their physical condition including any injuries or mobility issues • Keep records of the patient's medical history and follow all rules, regulations, and protocols • Create treatment strategies using a range of therapeutic methods for each patient • Use physical therapy on patients to reduce pain and improve mobility as advised by doctor Physical Therapist Assistants work closely with patients to help them recover from injuries. A few of the most common duties and responsibilities required of Physical Therapist Assistants include: • Help patients stretch and exercise certain muscle groups • Read instructions from Physical Therapist • Work directly with Physical Therapist to assist patients • Speak with families to find the best at-home techniques • Keep physical therapy clean and organized • Move patients from wheelchairs or walkers to the physical therapy area • Complete administrative tasks, like scheduling appointments and filing paperwork • Teach patients techniques like balance training Qualifications: • This position requires you to be currently licensed in the state you practice • Must pass the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) • Previous experience working with patients in a healthcare environment is highly desired • Successful candidates will need strong analytical, communication, and observational skills • We require a bachelor’s degree and a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) • Entry-level PTAs usually don’t need experience since they get training during their programs. • For employers who need a Physical Therapist Assistant to work with a specific set of clients, some related experience is necessary. • Senior PTAs should have at least five years of experience. Compensation: $40 - $50 hourly
