Job Description
ROLE OVERVIEW:
Our team is looking to bring onboard a Search Engine Optimization "SEO" Specialist. This role will report to our Director of Marketing Technology to help our brands with product, traffic monitoring, keyword optimization, and SEO growth opportunities. There is a level of accountability this role will hold to strategize and partner with agencies but also execute initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITY:
- Develop optimization strategies that increase the company's search engine results rankings
- Manage SEO priorities by helping to maintain product roadmap and priorities list, including features and functionality related to SEO objectives
- Measure the success of our SEO content, its growth and impact on demand generation
- Provide SEO insights and reporting to key marketing and sales stakeholders
- Lead content ideation, project management and optimization in relation to SEO
- Continuously optimize our website to rank highly in SERPs for strategic keyword topics
- Actively conduct keyword research to fill in content and competitor gaps
- Monitor and administer web analytics dashboards, reports and key reporting tools, and point out key areas of importance
- Perform recurring organic traffic monitoring, KPI, and competitor analysis reporting
- Perform technical SEO audits & site maintenance
- Perform keyword research to generate recommendations for on-page copy improvements and new blog topics
- Support on-going link building campaigns
- Contribute to SEO growth and conversion projects
- Keep pace with SEO, search engine, social media and internet marketing industry trends and developments, communicate developments
- Ability to communicate effectively with a broad spectrum of colleagues, from UI designers and software engineers to marketing team members and senior management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-3 years of experience in successfully developing and executing SEO campaigns
- Experience optimizing on-and-off page SEO
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Schema Markup, and Metadata
- Experience with Google Search Console, Google Analytics
- Understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods
- Knowledge of keyword research and data mining tools
- Able to complete competitive analysis of other companies within the industry
- Experience with other aspects of marketing, such as customer growth and promotion, is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience leveraging SEMrush or similar SEO tools
- Experience editing and managing content creation for SEO in the home services category
- Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills
- Ability to be proactive and navigate ambiguity to support initiatives will be key.
