The Home Groups Minister assists in executing the ministry’s vision to “Build Community, Pursue Sanctification, and Live on Mission.” This includes overseeing, organizing, equipping, and caring for Home Group coaches, leaders, and participants to help them lead and carry the ministry. Deliverables include preparing weekly sermon guides and executing regular events for leader recruitment, training, group formation, and community building. The minister will also be expected to be available for various in-person ministerial meetings for the purpose of care, support, and assessment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy and Planning
Assist in launching, orienting, and aligning strategic initiatives around “Community, Sanctification, and Mission” vision
Support Home Group coaches in maintaining role expectations and responsibilities
Plan leadership recruitment and development efforts to support sustainable growth and effective ministry
Implement regular trainings, curriculum, and events for Home Group coaches and leaders
Plan yearly events calendar to support above strategies
Tactical Execution
Collaborate in writing of weekly Home Group sermon discussion guides and other resources
Organize and execute leader events for equipping, connecting, sending and serving
Equip and develop existing Home Group coaches and leaders for the work of ministry through teaching, modeling, and coaching
Recruit, evaluate, train, and onboard new Home Group leaders and coaches
Coordinate and execute regular meetings for female Home Group coaches
Responsively meet emerging Home Group care needs in a flexible and timely manner and ensure that escalated care needs are appropriately passed to the Care Team
People Development
Support coaches by providing them with regular communication, touchpoints, and support
Cultivate healthy relationships with leaders by being available for care, counsel, and support in conjunction with their coaches
Oversee the care and counsel for Home Group coaches, leaders and participants in difficult seasons and advocate for any needing elevated care, with a particular focus on women
Be available for ministerial visitations, hospital visits, and care assessments
Administration
Effectively manage time and resources to prioritize the needs of the Groups ministry and its various initiatives
Ensure task, communications, and events are well organized, clear and consistent
Respond to high volume inbound communication in a timely manner
Oversee outbound ministry communications and announcements through multiple channels (Slack, email)
STAFF REQUIREMENTS
Spend regular time in the Word
Pray for Citizens Church and its people (with a focus on Home Group coaches, leaders, and participants)
Attend all-staff meetings and events
Support other ministries and attend church anchor events
Attend regular one-on-one meetings with direct supervisor
SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Affirm and commit to exhibiting a lifestyle that is consistent with Citizens Church’s Statement of Faith.
Bachelor’s degree
3+ years of ministry experience
Highly gifted in administration, organization, and project management
Training and fluency in systematic and biblical theology preferred
Understanding of church theology, philosophy and practice of ministry
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in leading, shepherding, and developing volunteers
Able to problem solve, manage conflict and work well on a team
Self-starter, flexible and adaptable with excellent time management
Proficient in administrative systems (e.g. Google Drive, etc.)
