Job Summary
We are looking for a Home Health Aide to join our team! You will directly work with IDD individuals, following a one-on-one care plan in an individual's home. You operate with a big heart, not only providing personalized and attentive care but by building genuine relationships with those you serve. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to creating a healthy environment that meets the individual's needs. Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to succeed in this role. Prior Home Health or DODD experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
Assist individuals with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles
Care for individuals by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, or assisting with personal care
Maintain records of individuals care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with the supervisor
Build relationships with individuals by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert
Give medications If Qualified
Engage individuals in exercises or other activities
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Driver’s license
CPR and first aid certification required
Medication Certification (if applicable)
