Eye Mountain Care is committed to providing compassionate, empathetic, and high-quality care to clients and their loved ones. We are seeking dedicated Home Health Aides (HHAs) who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others.
Responsibilities: Provide personal care assistance: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene support.
Assist with mobility and transfers, including walking and safe use of mobility devices.
Perform light housekeeping: laundry, vacuuming, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe home environment.
Offer companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in activities and conversation.
Assist with medication reminders (as directed by family or nurse).
Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and community outings.
Monitor and report changes in client’s condition to supervisors promptly.
Follow client’s individualized care plan under the direction of a registered nurse or administrator.
Comply with all AHCA (Agency for Health Care Administration) and Florida state regulations for home health aides.
Requirements (State of Florida & Company Policy):
Must be at least 18 years old.
Completion of at least 40 hours of Home Health Aide training OR hold a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license recognized in Florida.
If you do not currently have the 40-hour HHA training, Eye Mountain Care will provide training for qualified candidates.
Trainees are expected to work with Eye Mountain Care for a minimum of 6 months during training and commit to at least 1 year of employment upon becoming a certified HHA.
Current Level 2 Background Screening (as required by Florida law).
Valid CPR certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross preferred).
Proof of negative TB test or chest X-ray.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English effectively.
Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance.
Physical ability to lift, move, and transfer clients safely (up to 50 lbs).
Must be punctual, dependable, and able to travel throughout Tampa & Odessa areas.
Preferred Qualities:
Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-centered mindset.
Prior experience in home health, assisted living, or caregiving.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Team-oriented with strong communication skills.

Job Summary
We are looking for a Home Health Aide to join our team! You will directly work with patients, following a one-on-one care plan in patient homes. You operate with a big heart, not only providing personalized and attentive care but by building genuine relationships with those you serve. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to creating a healthy environment that meets patient needs. Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to succeed in this role. Prior Home Health or Hospice experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles
Care for patients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, or assisting with personal care
Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with the supervisor
Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert
Remind medication
Engage patients in exercises or other activities
Qualifications
Graduated from an accredited Home Health Aide program
High School Diploma or GED
One year prior professional experience
Driver’s license required
CPR certification required
