Your role will be pivotal in helping patients maintain their independence by offering companionship, basic medical care, and assistance with daily tasks. Responsibilities: • Sustain quality companionship and provide psychological and emotional support for patients and their family members • Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to patients, ensuring they feel valued and understood. • Monitor and report changes in patients' health status to the healthcare team, fostering proactive and responsive care. • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment, enhancing patients' comfort and well-being. • Administer basic medical care under supervision, such as checking vital signs, to ensure patients' health is closely monitored. Qualifications: • A valid state driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance is required • Compassionate, kind, and empathetic personality is essential, with superb organization and communications skills • Current CPR certification and first aid training is needed and you must be able to pass a full employment background check, drug test, and physical • Physical requirements include being able to lift up to 100 lbs, may be required to stoop, bend, reach, and transfer patients up to 250 lbs as needed • Conclusion of home health aide training programs from community colleges are acceptable - Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) is a bonus Compensation: $24 - $26 hourly
