    Prudential Healthcare, a trusted provider of home health services, is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Clerk to join our team. The Medical Clerk plays a vital role in supporting our clinical staff and ensuring that administrative processes run efficiently.     Key Responsibilities:

    Scheduling & Coordination:

    Schedule patient visits for nurses, therapists, and home health aides, ensuring proper alignment of staff availability and patient needs.

    Confirm appointments with patients and caregivers, adjusting schedules as needed.

    Maintain an organized calendar for multiple staff members.

    Patient Intake & Documentation:

    Collect and verify patient personal, medical, and insurance information.

    Create and maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

    Enter patient data into electronic health records (EHR) systems, including medical histories, treatments, and medication lists.

    Billing & Insurance Support:

    Verify insurance details and ensure proper coverage for home health services.

    Assist with billing inquiries, track insurance claims, and follow up on unpaid claims.

    Submit necessary documentation to insurance providers for reimbursement.

    Communication & Coordination:

    Serve as a liaison between healthcare providers, patients, and their families.

    Address patient or family inquiries regarding services, schedules, or billing.

    Communicate with home health staff to ensure continuity of care.

    Compliance & Recordkeeping:

    Assist in maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and Medicare requirements.

    Ensure proper filing and documentation of patient records, both physical and electronic.

    Prepare reports related to patient care, billing, and scheduling as requested.

    Administrative Support:

    Order and manage medical supplies needed for patient care.

    Assist with any additional administrative duties as needed, including office organization and reporting.

    Qualifications:

    High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or related certification preferred).

    Previous experience in a medical or healthcare administrative role is highly desirable.

    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.

    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

    Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

    Knowledge of insurance verification, billing, and coding (preferred, but not required).

    Familiarity with home health care regulations and procedures is a plus.
