Position Overview: As a Home Health PTA, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement personalized therapy programs. You’ll assist patients with exercises, mobility techniques, and activities to improve their physical strength, mobility, and overall quality of life—all while working independently in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist patients with prescribed physical therapy exercises and treatments
Monitor patients' progress and provide feedback to the supervising PT
Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, techniques, and safety precautions
Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress
Communicate with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care
Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment and supplies
Assist with patient evaluations and goal setting as directed by the PT
Participate in on-call rotation (if required)
Qualifications:
Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in [state]
Minimum of 1 year of PTA experience (home health preferred but not required)
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid guidelines a plus
EMR experience preferred
