This in-house position offers the opportunity to work on innovative residential designs and see projects from conception through to completion. Responsibilities: • Design drawings and renderings and revise designs based on feedback • Consult with project managers and clients throughout the project to ensure the end product meets the client’s quality and budget expectations • Provide design proposals, building design blueprints, and construction documents containing specifications for building materials and products • Communicate design intent specifications clearly and ensure quality control through site visits with construction professionals • Coordinate consultant drawings ( HVAC, landscape architect, civil engineers, etc) and integrate into design plans Key Responsibilities: • Develop detailed architectural designs for residential projects using Chief Architect software • Conduct onsite measurements and participate in design meetings to ensure project specifications are met • Interact directly with clients to understand their needs, present design proposals, and gather feedback to incorporate into project plans • Manage the full project lifecycle, ensuring timely completion of designs to meet building permit process requirements and construction timelines • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to resolve design challenges and ensure project success • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction regulations, building codes, and industry trends to ensure compliance and innovation in design Qualifications: • Meet licensing requirements through NCARB architects registration board and be a licensed architect through the State Board of Architecture • Must have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a National Architectural Accrediting Board approved program is required • Requires 5 years of experience with construction projects, producing complete sets of construction documents for developments, residential, or office buildings • Fluent in computer-aided design/CAD / design software: Photoshop, Revit, AutoCad, and Sketch-Up and BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology • Exceptional technical, problem-solving, project management skills, and superior communication skills • Proven experience as an Architectural Designer, specifically with high-level proficiency in Chief Architect software • Strong portfolio showcasing residential design projects • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients, team members, and external partners • Detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage a full workload and deliver projects within tight deadlines • Familiarity with the building permit process and experience in getting plans designed and approved • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Design, or a related field preferred • Must reside in or near Pacifica, CA, or be willing to relocate, to facilitate onsite measurements and client meetings Compensation: $60,000 - $100,000 yearly
