Creates and maintains a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning. Provides positive educational experiences for all students; ensures the overall success of the school community within the framework of state regulations and the clinical director of Ruby Beach Behavioral Pediatrics. The employee’s primary duty will be the creating and conducting lesson plans, providing a nurturing and informative education to those attending Ruby Beach Academy. The academy is a home school co-op program catering to outside the box learners. The population will consist of 8-15 kids at varying educational levels. Essential Functions:
Cooperate with administrators, BCBA's, and parents to develop curriculums to meet needs and interests of students.
Teach efficiently, using the books and materials required, following the prescribed units of study and employing approved methods.
Develop lesson plans aligned to the Florida Standards and Instructional Focus Calendar.
Supervise and mentor Teacher Interns and Teacher Associates.
Communicate with parents and the clinical director on student needs and progress.
Conduct parent meetings going over academic progress and challenges.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; Ability to compute rate, radio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Development so Vware and Word Processing software.
Ability to devote additional hours beyond the workday for grading papers, preparation of lesson plans, etc.
Ability to manage students.
Ability to manage multiple tasks.

Work Environment: Most work is performed indoors, with occasional outdoor work required. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate-high.
