We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Home Energy Consultant to assess residential properties for energy efficiency and recommend cost-effective solutions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainability and customer service, with the ability to educate homeowners on ways to reduce energy consumption, lower utility bills, and improve comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct in-home or virtual energy assessments to evaluate insulation, HVAC systems, lighting, windows, appliances, and overall energy use.

Recommend energy-saving upgrades such as solar power, insulation, air sealing, LED lighting, and smart home technology.

Educate homeowners on available rebates, tax incentives, and financing options for energy efficiency improvements.

Prepare customized energy reports and proposals.

Build rapport with clients and guide them through the process from assessment to implementation.

Collaborate with contractors, utility companies, and program partners as needed.

Maintain accurate records of visits, assessments, and customer interactions using CRM tools.

Meet or exceed monthly sales and performance goals

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in environmental science, construction, energy management, or a related field preferred.

Previous experience in energy consulting, residential construction, or sales is a plus.

Strong knowledge of home energy systems and energy efficiency technologies.

Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle multiple clients.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if site visits are required).

BPI, RESNET, or similar certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
